Peer Review Policy

Peer Review Policy

The LexInceptus Global Law Review (LIGLR) follows a rigorous and ethical double-blind peer review process to ensure the highest academic standards. All manuscripts are evaluated fairly, independently, and without bias.

1. Double-Blind Review System

Both authors and reviewers remain anonymous throughout the review process. Manuscripts must not contain any identifying information.

2. Initial Editorial Screening

Each submission is first assessed by the editorial team for relevance, originality, formatting, and plagiarism. Manuscripts may be desk-rejected if they fall outside the journal’s scope or fail basic quality checks.

3. Assignment to Reviewers

Manuscripts that pass screening are sent to at least two qualified reviewers with expertise in the relevant subject area.

  • Quality and depth of research
  • Originality and contribution to legal scholarship
  • Methodological soundness
  • Clarity and coherence of arguments

4. Review Timeline

  • Editorial screening: 1–2 weeks
  • Peer review: 6–10 weeks
  • Final decision: within approximately 12 weeks

5. Possible Editorial Decisions

  • Accept
  • Minor revisions
  • Major revisions
  • Reject

6. Reviewer Responsibilities

  • Provide objective and constructive feedback
  • Maintain confidentiality
  • Declare conflicts of interest
  • Submit timely and ethical evaluations

7. Ethical Standards

LIGLR follows international publication ethics (including COPE guidelines). All manuscripts undergo plagiarism screening. Unethical submissions are rejected and may be referred to the author’s institution.

8. Appeals

Authors who wish to contest a decision may submit a reasoned appeal to the editorial office at editor@lrdouk.com.
